Why this website for Michigan Zumba Instructors?  Hello, I am Debbie, the creator of this website.  I have been part of the fitness Industry for over 30 years. My twin sister, Donna and I are proactive in getting the right information out there to the public, especially when it comes to safety.  This site has been approved by Zumba LLC.  We work real hard to make sure that everything on this site has the approval of Zumba LLC.

Zumba Authorized Instructors are represented by the officials at Zumba.  Let's keep the integrity of Zumba.  I am also doing this, because I love to get involved in something that I believe in.  I want the public to know that those using the name Zumba in their class description are part of the official Zumba family.  There are many "Zumba" Instructors that are not actually trained by experienced, official Zumba professionals.  Using the name Zumba without proper training or permission is illegal. Please help us maintain the integrity of Zumba.

This site is free to anyone interested in Zumba, free to Zumba Instructors and facilities looking for    Instructors..  Authorized Michigan Zumba Instructor who would like to be added to this site, ZIN Member or not, please contact me. Other services are available.

Zumba Instructors who say they are "Certified Zumba Instructors" To the general public, most people think that all Zumba Instructors are certified Fitness Instructors. That information is completely incorrect. When one attends the 8-hour Zumba workshop, the person is only granted the right to legally use the Zumba name and Zumba logo to advertise their classes. If they opt to become a ZIN Member (Zumba Instructors Network - The member pays a $360.00 annual fee), these Instructor will also have the right to use the music and choreography that they paid for and received from ZIN. The only time a Zumba Instructor is truly "certified" is IF they are nationally certified from organizations such as ACE (American Council on Exercise) or AFAA (American Fitness Association of America).  There are some Zumba Instructors that are not ZIN Members. These Instructors will still be listed at the official Zumba website.

(August 2009) From the Legal Department from Zumba LLC: Zumba Fitness is very serious about supporting its licensed Instructors and legally enforcing its trademarks and we appreciate your assistance in this process.
If you would like to check if an instructor is legally licensed to teach Zumba classes, just type in their name to see if they are on the list. If the searched name does not appear on this list, the Instructor is either expired or illegal. If you would like to report an illegal or expired instructor or fitness facility, please CLICK HERE and select the topic "Legal Compliance".

Sadly some people and fitness companies are offering Zumba classes without being properly trained or authorized. To help maintain the integrity and quality of the Zumba name and Zumba classes, the Officials at Zumba LLC asked that you help, by "reporting" Instructors who are teaching with an expired certificate, teaching without any certificate, providing unauthorized training, or misusing the Zumba name or Logo.  Please report this to  info@zumba.com 

You can also check to see if the Instructor offering Zumba is listed at the official Zumba website (Please note:  Individual names and not the business name will be listed.  The actual Instructor who is offering the Zumba class must be listed at the official website.)  Thank you for your support.
