FLINT (WJRT) 06/18/11: Hips were shaking and feet were stomping at one local beach today. Hundreds of people were burning calories at Bluebell Beach in Flint, in an attempt to break a world record.

The goal was to set the record for the largest Zumba group, which is currently set in Texas at 1,200 people.

The Genesee County Parks and Recreation Commission was spear-heading the effort and were extremely proud of the turnout. Unfortunately, just under 500 people came to join the fun. The group did not break the record, but had a blast anyway
